About this pair.
The ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14 Black/Pure Silver Trainers pair black open mesh with glossy overlays and sharply outlined silver ASICS stripes. This colourway brings a dark, high-contrast finish to the model’s late-2000s running-inspired shape.
The upper has open mesh across the toe and sides, framed by layered black panels. Pure Silver lines trace the large side stripes, with further silver detailing on the tongue and around the heel. Black laces keep the front tonal, letting the reflective-looking edges and shaped panels define the design.
The sculpted black midsole includes visible GEL technology cushioning, with silver-toned sections noticeable beneath the heel and forefoot. ASICS retains tooling inspired by the original GEL-KAYANO 14 and includes its TRUSSTIC system. The layered leather and mesh construction recalls the model’s 2008 design.
From the side, the silver stripes break up the black upper without making the trainer look overly bright. Wear this pair with dark denim, cargos or relaxed trousers for a look that follows its black and metallic colour scheme.
