About this pair.
The ASICS GEL-NYC RGD Ironclad/Black Trainers bring the model’s layered, running-inspired design into a distinctive grey-blue and black colourway. Ironclad tones cover the mesh areas and shaped overlays, while black details define the ASICS side stripes, lower panels and toe.
The upper has a closely layered look: mesh is visible across the toe and through the side panels, framed by curved overlays and contrasting stripes. Matching grey-blue laces continue the colour across the top of the shoe, and a pull tab finishes the heel.
Underfoot, the sculpted sole combines dark sections with grey-blue detailing and visible GEL technology inserts. Its substantial shape gives the low-top silhouette the technical appearance associated with the GEL-NYC RGD, while the restrained palette works naturally with denim, cargos and everyday casual clothing.
The GEL-NYC RGD draws on earlier ASICS running designs, including the GEL-NIMBUS 3 and GEL-MC PLUS V upper, with tooling influenced by the GEL-CUMULUS 16. In this Ironclad/Black version, those layered design cues are especially clear against the darker lower panels.
